Verdict

Carlton Scroop is mostly consistent but is finding life tough off his current mark since winning at Kempton in October, and Peace Corps looks another in need of some respite from the handicapper. Something was clearly amiss with Kiama Bay when completely tailed off last time, but he had been in fine form before that and has every chance here if back to his best. However, preference goes to TREACLE TART, who won her maiden over C&D last month and this looks slightly easier than her latest task at Lingfield. City Stable, a winner over 1m6f at Southwell in July, could prove best of the rest despite a poor effort over the same trip here a few days later which may have come too soon.
