Verdict

Lytham had caught the eye in a classified stakes race here over an extended mile on his first start for Mark Wallace and although disappointing in a handicap last time may be worth another chance in a poor race where the main dangers look to be Bijou Dan and Cashel Queen. Like the selection, the last mentioned was formerly trained in Ireland but the daughter of Kingmambo showed little sign of ability on her debut for Jeremy Noseda last time and may be best watched. Hamdan Al Maktoum cast off Alqaayid would have claims on the pick of his form for Marcus Tregoning but is probably best watched on his debut for new connections. Luca Cumani's Kiss Again showed little sign of ability on her debut but should improve for the run, along with I Had A Sister. The likes of Sion Hill and Weakest Link should not be good enough but so weak is this race that they cannot be ruled out entirely. Lytham gave every indication that a race of this nature would be within his compass when second here earlier this month though and a reproduction of form that day may suffice.
