Verdict

Without a win on Turf, THE CALTONIAN has now won both starts on the Tapeta with plenty in hand. He’s burdened with a double penalty today but is due to be raised by 2lb more in the future. Major Gatsby beat Liberty Breeze and Crystal Dawn when winning over track and trip while Fayasel had the measure of Guiteau when successful at the same fixture here. Daring Guest ended last year with a victory at Lingfield and will be sharper for last month’s comeback.
