Verdict

Division one of the auction maiden and CAMPBELTOWN TRADER is no more than a hopeful selection given the form of the Tom Dascombe stable. Although they gained their first victory for two months on Wednesday evening at Kempton, their contenders had up to that point been running deplorably and that could well be the reason for Campbeltown Trader's demise last time. The headgear remains intact today and the form of his Nottingham maiden has been franked in no uncertain terms with the winner and a couple of those behind scoring since. Miss Cracklinrosie led home a group of eight on her last start at Newcastle, finishing third overall. She was well beaten in the end but the ground at Newcastle favoured few juveniles. Jobekani has started at big odds in nurseries on his last two starts and is exposed while Spinight steps up to seven furlongs after showing some promise in maidens over six furlongs. Campbeltown Trader can hopefully continue the resurgence of the Dascombe yard here.
