Verdict

ST MALO won a seller at Catterick before well beaten in a handicap at York. He has every chance on these terms and so does Vettori Rules, though the latter is better over further nowadays. Barnaby Brook has been thereabouts over shorter trips here but has plenty to find with the selection at the weights as does What Usain, who beat only two rivals to win a seller at Leicester recently. Carthage is another not particularly well treated but is partnered by a leading amateur in Serena Brotherton, who rode last year’s winner.
