      Verdict

      Rated 99, it will be tough to find a suitable handicap for MARSHGATE LANE nowadays but he had little trouble dispatching the opposition in a claimer at Southwell recently. Neil Mulholland’s charge should have enough to see off the challenge of Viewpoint, though he was beaten less than a length in a Class 3 handicap here last month. Patriotic was six lengths behind the selection last time and looks to have little chance of reversing that form, while the remainder are even harder to fancy on these terms.
