    Verdict

There are few better trainers at placing their horses in the correct grade than Tony Carroll, whose WAVING is set to complete a hat-trick. An acquisition from John Oxx, the lightly-raced son of High Chaparral has really come into his own over the past few weeks and though very closely matched with Blazing Desert, whom he beat a neck over the track and trip last time, he can continue on the upgrade and can go in again. Carroll also runs Pahente, who scored at Kempton last month and didn't get the clearest of runs at Lingfield on Saturday. Wordiness looks a big threat as he was a very convincing winner here three weeks ago and the assessor hasn't gone overboard with a 6lb rise which will be completely wiped out by his young rider's claim.
