          Verdict

          In the final race of the day the form of GIDDYWELL stands out the most and as a result Reg Hollinshead's colt has the call with Macinate dangerously well handicapped on old form and Waldorf could fair better in this company. The selection has been running consistently recently and was a winner over course and distance on his penultimate start. He followed that by being well beaten into third place last time but is off the same mark and has less to beat this time. Macinate is now off a mark 10lbs lower than his last success but has failed off a rating just two pounds higher in recent starts. That said the performances have become consistent and if he is rediscovering his talent then he is a real danger. Waldorf makes his handicap debut here and looks well enough treated. He disappointed last time after given the run of the race but excuses could be made for that as it may have proved a stretch of stamina; on these terms he has to be respected. Of the others Hurricane Coast has claims based on his course and distance victory in a similar race two starts ago and if the Visor can work the oracle for Speagle he could challenge too under a top apprentice. To win it though we have to side with the current form of Giddywell.
