Verdict

In a maiden where none of the field set the pulse racing the form of ETTRICK MILL is enough for that one to get our nod with Sign Of Approval the danger while any money for newcomer Lords A Leaping would be interesting. The selection built on a debut run to put in another solid effort last time behind the useful, for this level, campaigner Mutamaashi. As one in the field that is carrying one of the few form lines that actually works out and for a yard in form this winter it's enough to get the vote. Sign Of Approval is already rated at 74 and has hinted at some ability but has shown very little in recent starts in very small fields. This though is his easiest assignment for some time and he could take advantage. Lords A Leaping is a half-brother to Xalted, a 6f winner and Majehar who has been running well and scoring this winter. As always with this type the market might be the best guide to how strongly connections fancy this one on debut. Divinatore has been running solidly and improved on his debut effort last time, the line from which is one of the strongest while Broughton Beck has been average enough in a few starts to suggest a contest like this will eventually come his way but this time we opt for Ettrick Mill.
