In depth

Verdict

Tom Dascombe's PLUSH looks set for a quick fire hat-trick here with Ryedale Ovation and Blues Minor the others to consider. Plush is looking to record a nine day three timer after scoring in two moderate contests over course and distance already this month. A six pound penalty has been added to try and stop that but with the booking of conditional jockey Ross Atkinson to relieve that and the five-year-receiving weight all round that the scene is set for yet more success. Ryedale Ovation is one of the best placed to stop the selection after winning a similar standard event at Kempton on his penultimate start. He wasn't disgraced when beaten by a much more highly rated horse on his latest and his all weather form is among the best in this race. Expect him close at the finish off a competitive mark and topspeed analysis shows continued improvement. Blues Minor has a chance after scoring over course and distance in a poor event last time while Stark Contrast can also be put in that category and we go for Plush to make it three on the trot.
