A market check is advised but admirable veteran Blackheath has solid claims and is selected. The three Irish raiders should be monitored whilst Avoncreek may also be able to have a say in the outcome. Blackheath was winning for the eleventh time when coming 4 lengths clear of the field in a similar contest over course and distance last time. He has a penalty to carry as a result but that may not be enough to stop him Avoncreek drops back in trip and grade this evening and that combination could be enough to see him get involved in the shake-up. He's relatively unexposed but Fraizer has only had three starts and should find this company more to his liking. He's been beaten a long way on all three and is drawn widest of all but would be dangerous to dismiss. The market should help sort things out but we'll stick with Blackheath.
