Carcinetto deserved her success over course and distance last week and has to be respected but a 6lb penalty for that win leaves her with more to do today and a better bet looks to be Cool Sands, who gets the vote with Mountain Pass rated the best of the rest. The selection has been performing creditably well in similar grade of late, including on the Polytrack as well as on the Fibresand at Southwell and, off what still seems a fair mark, he gets the vote to resume winning ways. Bond Playboy has been running consistently well but may just be a shade high in the weights at present, while the handicapper also seems to now have the measure of Haroldini. Mountain Pass sprung something of a surprise when landing a Lingfield handicap last month and cannot be ruled out off just a 3lb higher mark here but Cool Sands has solid claims and is preferred.
