Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Not a maiden to dwell upon for long and we'll take YONDER to score. Hughie Morrison continues to keep an excellent strike rate with the runners he sends to the racecourse and he got this one ready to win a bumper first time on fast ground around 18 months ago. Clearly happy enough when fresh, he has not been seen out on the track since last May when he ran a good race over this trip at Newcastle. This is his first try on the Polytrack and in the hope he handles it we will give him the vote. Jonnie Skull sports a first-time tongue strap and is stepped up from 7f last time to a mile-and-a-half here. That is not certain to suit and he looks best watched. Dawn Wind has never convinced over this far and the same goes for Just Dennis, although he is related to winners at this trip. There is little in the pedigrees of debutants My Little Goldie and Drussell to recommend them and in a poor contest we'll take Yonder to score.
