Verdict

BOOM THE GROOM (NAP) has obvious claims having gone close at Lingfield last week. He finished ahead of both Tarooq and Fairway To Heaven and is preferred to stablemates Saint Pois and Caspian Prince. Badr Al Badoor ran well over 7f in this grade here last time but Secondo is upped in class after scoring over track and trip a fortnight ago. The unexposed Pretend may improve with a recent comeback under his belt but will need to if he's to figure in the finish.
