Imperative gets a tentative call here ahead of Many Thanks. Pacific Ocean, Vivre Sa Vie and Andaad. The selection showed enough in a better event at Lingfield last time to suggest that he has sufficient improvement in him to be competitive at this fairly low level. Pacific Ocean's form is little better than selling class. Royal Atalza is a French hurdles and chase winner but has had a recent spin over the jumps to clear his tubes. The betting market should tell us more. A similar comment applies to Andaad, who was also noted making late headway at Lingfield last time on only his second start. Gotya is quite well-related but did not show too much on her racecourse debut. Many Thanks has certainly suggested ability in maidens to date and this is not a strong affair overall. Vivre Sa Vie has been crying out for a longer trip, which she will get today, although she still looks very weak. Overall, then, Imperative might provide the answer.
