Mount Vettore may be a bit better than the average Wolverhampton maiden participant, and can open his account at the second time of asking, with Peters Choice perhaps booked for the runner¿s up spot. Any strong money in the ring for Lynda Ramsden¿s colt would cement his claims, which are already pretty good on the strength of a promising debut behind Corps De Ballet at Nottingham. Unruly in the stalls and slowly away, he was picking up nicely in the closing stages, eventually finishing fifth, and can only improve on that initial effort. None of his rivals have shown anything yet, but Peters Choice, beaten in a photo at Musselburgh the time before last, appears to be the best candidate for the frame. However, that form pales into insignificance compared to the selection¿s debut effort, and Mount Vettore, a half-brother to four winning juveniles, can himself quickly make his mark here.
