In depth

Verdict

A narrow vote in this competitive seller is given to The Slider, with Skye But N Ben and A Nod And A Wink just two of a number of dangers. Paul Blockley's charge was successful in this grade on the turf last summer and put in a solid effort on his only start here when chasing home Sad Times. He hasn't been seen out for nine months but the stable had a similar winner last week so fitness shouldn't be a concern. Skye But N Ben drops to selling company for the first time following a decent run in a handicap and has to be respected. As does Richard Hannon's A Nod And A Wink who also boasts solid handicap form Any move for the twice raced Bahama Gold should be noted, but The Slider has strong claims on last year's efforts and just gets the decision.
