    Verdict

It will be a little surprising if Eight Woods cannot see off this modest bunch of rivals and grant David Barron yet another profitable visit to Wolverhampton. Grand Lass and Desert Heat are the only others that can have serious cases made for them judging by the official figures for the race and they should have a real scrap for the minor honours here. However, as Barron knows all their is to know about the first named it may be best left to Desert Heat to fulfil the obligations for the forecast slot. Ian Semple's runner does not have too many miles on the clock and can at least pay for the long journey down here from Scotland with a chunk of the place money. Whereas Dundonald has bits and pieces of form that will no doubt attract support for him to make the frame. However, he may just be in need of a confidence booster after failing to shine over hurdles and is for the very brave only. Therefore, this looks a straightforward task for Eight Woods in her quest to land her first victory on these shores since arriving here from Ireland. The six-year-old has the measure of Grand Lass from the last time they met and is too hard to oppose in a weak contest such as this
