        Verdict

        Distant Country had form on dirt when trained in France so may be worth chancing on his all-weather debut in this country and gets the vote ahead of Onlytime Will Tell and Kingsmaite.The last mentioned, the only three-year-old in the line up, ran well on his Polytrack debut two weeks ago when chasing home Flying Bantam over six furlongs and is entitled to be thereabouts over the extra furlong today, a trip that he stays well. Flying Bantam's stablemate Namroud makes his first appearance on the all-weather off what looks a fair mark and is another to consider along with Onlytime Will Tell, who is well treated on recent turf form. Mistral Sky has claims on the form shown when second to Blythe Spirit but was disappointing behind Flying Bantam last time and is probably best watched today, especially over a trip that may stretch his stamina. Ryan Moore is an interesting jockey booking for Young Alex and he is another worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Distant Country. Lynda Ramsden's gelding as been a consistent performer on turf this season but was arguably better on dirt in France and he is interesting switched to the surface for the first time since joining current connections.
