Mister Marmaduke has been given a chance by the handicapper and is taken to make the most of his draw in stall two, getting the verdict ahead of Salon Prive and Absent Friends. The last mentioned has claims on his best form but is not the most consistent of performers and a bigger threat may come from Salon Prive, who opened his account in a maiden over course and distance last month for which the handicapper has left the gelding unchanged for his return to this grade. Charles Cyzer's gelding has been done few favours with a wide draw though and that is of concern. Christine Dunnett's Gone'n'dunnett is still feasibly well treated but may be better over six furlongs these days and of more interest may be Blythe Spirit, although he is another with a wide draw. Mister Marmaduke has no such problems and is taken to make all from his low berth.
