In depth

Verdict

Heather Lark has the highest handicap rating but is also the most exposed and came up well short in maiden company at Chelmsford last time. Pilgrim Soul and the once-raced Banksy's Art may well improve past the former with Andrew Balding’s filly preferred on a close-up third over today’s trip at Kempton. But RIVER GLADES belongs to a family of middle-distance Group 2 winners and Mark Johnston’s newcomer may well be good enough to make a winning start in this company.
