      Verdict

Shoot The Pot weakened the only time he has tried this trip before and there remain doubts over whether he will improve for a return to a mile and a half today. Miss Whippy was adept enough to win here last time but her best work has come over shorter trips. Sir Mark Prescott's handicap runners are always worth considering and HONOURED is one of only two entrants that the trainer has on the card. He has good form without winning so far and this might just be his day. Firehawk wasn't far away when second here over course and distance last month and is not dismissed lightly, whilst Frameit held on well to narrowly score at Lingfield earlier in the month as is just 5lb higher in the official ratings. The Dukes Arch must be monitored in the betting as she is not sent over from Ireland without a chance and New Code has claims but appears better on the turf. In a tricky finale we side with Honoured.
