Verdict

STARGAZY is the pick with Inka Dancer and Mr Rev others capable of getting involved. The selection's high draw isn't ideal but he's usually held up so it's not as big a negative as might have been the case. He came with a strong late run under today's pilot to finish one place in front of Aggbag and just behind a progressive runner and subsequent winner over course and distance at the end of last month. His two wins came over course and distance, he's in form and should be in the shake-up. Mr Rev has proved frustrating to follow but he's been threatening to shed his maiden tag recently and a repeat of his recent Kempton runs may be enough to see him have a say in the outcome whilst he's well drawn for one who raced prominently last time. The booking of Martin Dwyer for Inka Dancer takes the eye and the mare may well have finished closer last time but for being snatched up in the closing stages. However, that was a far more encouraging run than of late and she's not badly treated so makes the short-list despite the lack of a win in twelve attempts on the all-weather. The horse that heads our short-list is Stargazy.
