In depth

Verdict

Empire Dancer ran better than could realistically have been expected on his return at Yarmouth last month and has to be respected on that evidence but he may have been flattered by that run and preference is for King's Revenge, who gets the vote ahead of Giverny Spring. The last mentioned has claims on the form shown at Salisbury on his second start as a juvenile but disappointing efforts either side of that make him hard to recommend with confidence. Electric Warrior has shown signs of ability but needs to improve to get the better of King's Revenge, who is entitled to come on for his reappearance effort and has an obvious chance on the pick of his two-year-old form.
