In depth

Verdict

Extremely So, LARGEM and New England might be the three to concentrate on here, with the vote of confidence going to Largem. The John Jenkins-trained gelding has not fired on his last two starts but he has had valid excuses on each occasion and should be cherry ripe for this return to the track. His trainer is in good form and this course and distance winner can add just his second career success today. Mullitovermaurice knows how to win here but his best form is over shorter, New England and Dazzling Begum have also won here but neither has the most consistent of profiles, whilst Wetherby Place should go close if lasting home over this longer trip. Ready To Crown has had an excellent season over hurdles but was poor at Haydock last time and now needs to show that she can regain her form, Peintre D'Argent may improve as a four-year-old and cannot be ignored, whilst Extremely So disappointed at Lingfield last month but looks fairly handicapped on last-year's form. The consistent Naheell and the well-handicapped Hector Spectre are both hard to rule out, however in a very winnable race it is Largem who is preferred.
