Verdict

TRAIL OF TEARS is a half-sister to four winners, including the useful Bowman, and John Gosden's filly may be good enough at the first time of asking. She's just preferred to fellow newcomer Chuckle, who is related to the Polytrack winner Red Gulch. Meia Noite is the most exposed of those with experience and the returning Coupland Lass may improve past her, while better is also expected from Vena Amoris who was a big disappointment when starting favourite for her debut at Doncaster in October.
