In depth

Verdict

Admiralty finished a creditable third on his racecourse debut at Kempton and a bold bid is expected from him but NIGER is just preferred. The latter was sixth in a higher grade maiden at Newbury on last month's debut and given a winner has already come out of the race, Jeremy Noseda's colt gets the nod. Piece Of Cake faded in the closing stages over today's trip at Lingfield last time and Star City has yet to prove he's trained on this year while Kodiac Island makes most appeal of the newcomers.
