In depth

Verdict

King Zafeen, Heathyards Joy and Queue Up are three to concentrate on in this weak opener and the vote is given to King Zafeen. The selection was a beaten favourite at Kempton last time but he had previously run well when finishing second behind Desert Fury at Southwell. A reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat and he is taken to score. Heathyards Joy is a 5-year-old and he has yet to win a race but he did put in an improved here last time when finishing third behind Bob Baileys. Queue Up was a fair fourth behind Wood Fern here last time and on the back of that effort it is slightly surprising that he is dropped back in trip today. Guadiana is from a shrewd yard and is one to note in the market, but for the winner we will return to King Zafeen.
