Verdict

CAPTAIN CAT would have laughed at these in his prime. He’s not the force of old but has still been performing with credit in much better races than this since the turn of the year and can give the weight away. Energia Flavio has a solid record here and won over course and distance in January. He is next best according to official ratings ahead of the selection’s stable companion Admirable Art and Miami Sunset. Barnaby Brook is seeking a third course victory and wasn’t beaten far last time so looks the pick of the remainder ahead of Mehdi and Athassel.
