In depth

Verdict

A positive market move for The Cuckoo would be interesting given that he has been easy enough to back recently, however RED CELL is a decent performer at this level and he is selected accordingly. The three-year-old son of Kheleyf (leading first-season sire in 2008) showed plenty of determination when a winner at Lingfield last month. Penalised for that success, he has more on his plate today, however it would be unwise to think that he will fold easily. Weet In Nerja ran well at the track two starts back but was then very flat next time up and she needs to bounce back, Lois Darlin has gone close in weak races in the past but the feeling is that she needs to improve slightly, whilst The Cuckoo is now dropped in class on his first start at Dunstall Park. A chance is taken on Red Cell who can win again.
