Threat has a very good chance on the best of his form with Indian Warrior, Pageant and Vermillion Creek looking best of the rest. The selection has solid form at around this level on turf during the summer and a return to it could give him a very good chance of getting back on the winning trail. Indian Warrior is another to strongly consider as the best of his turf form is well ahead of his rivals. Pageant, a stable companion of the selection, has also to be on the shortlist in a modest event if racing anywhere near the best of her form. Vermillion Creek has struggled of late but did win over 10 furlongs at Nottingham in August and comes into the reckoning on that basis. The rest have little in the way of recent form to recommend them which brings us back to the selection, Threat.
