Verdict

Andy Haynes has his runners in good shape at the moment and in course and distance winner Crystallize he has a chance, however we prefer the look of DR WINTRINGHAM, whilst Short Cut who has won already this year is favourably weighted. Dr Wintringham came a close second at Lingfield last time out when finishing a length behind Batchworth Blaise. Off the same weight today, this consistent filly can get a first win since August last year. Crystallize has won well here before but has not shown any sort of form recently and is disregarded on this occasion. Short Cut ran a good race back in February to win at Kempton but has not delivered on that promising run on turf since then. A return back to the all-weather and a trip that should suit may yield a better performance. Whispering Spirit has never delivered on the all-weather despite a couple of decent wins on the turf. Returning back to the polytrack we prefer to watch this filly today. Whilst there are reservations over Dr Wintringham's ability to only win once from twenty starts, we tentatively side with her today.
