In depth

Verdict

SHERIFFMUIR has returned a losing favourite in all four starts now having found one too good again at Kempton. But this looks his easiest opportunity to date and the extra distance may bring improvement from John Gosden’s colt. The latter has the beating of Happy Face on these terms while Lep finished in front of Opportunist at Lingfield last month though never troubled the winner when placed at the same track last time. Bumper winner Fair Star debuts in this code along with stablemate Desert Dawn.
