Mount Wellington ended a long losing run with last month’s course and distance success in a lower grade than this. Bahuta Acha is usually thereabouts over 6f though has returned a losing favourite three times in succession now and had earlier finished behind ONEBABA here. The latter failed to see out the mile trip at Newcastle last time but finished runner-up over track and trip before that and gets another chance racing off the same mark. Nezar and Jem Scuttle have past form at the track if rediscovering their best and are preferred to Broughtons Flare.
