In depth

Verdict

MONALEEN went within a nose of landing a shock win when runner-up at Lingfield on his racecourse debut in January and can go one better. He separated a couple of Charlie Appleby-trained runners on that occasion and the latter runs Subcontinent, a well-beaten third at Redcar in October. Madam Midnight also returns to action following a break but showed enough last year to suggest she can figure while Snow Pearl is related to a couple of winners and is worth noting in the betting on her introduction.
