Verdict

EMPEROR SPIRIT was a disappointing favourite in the Ayr Silver Cup but was only beaten a head at Ffos Las before that and a similar effort should see him go close again. Royal Pleasure was in good form over today’s trip before struggling over 7f in the Victoria Cup but Ancient Times is 9lb higher than when last successful, though went close at Chester last time. Watchya has won three times this year and finished in front of Tommy de Vito when fourth at Newcastle recently.
