Division two of the maiden and PARTY CAT, who showed lots of promise on debut at Newmarket but has failed to build on that, is a tentative selection given the fact he is likely to be better suited by ground conditions today. A son of One Cool Cat who's progeny quite often tend to be backward he returns here gelded and that might well be the making of him. His maiden form does set a reasonable standard and the yard did have a number of possibles for this maiden and Party Cat can add to their good record at this venue. Enact has noteworthy connections while the second of the Richard Hannon runners Bold Tie should be watched in the market but makes no real appeal on breeding. Son Of The Cat showed some promise when finishing fourth in an all-weather maiden while The Hague, a half-brother to Vista Belle who finished third in the 2005 1000 Guineas, showed little on debut but John Gosden's tends to leave something to work on with his juveniles so it would be no surprise to see him shape better today. Party Cat is given the vote to land the second division of this maiden.
