In depth

Verdict

This is a real head-scratcher with so much unexposed talent from top southern yards on view, but we shall side with Heaven Sent over the likes of Dama'a, Chasing a Dream and Fluorescent to name but a few. Sir Michael Stoute is double-handed here with newcomer Scylla Cadeaux and Heaven Sent, and it is the latter that makes most appeal. The daughter of Pivotal was sent off as favourite for a Warwick maiden last September but could only finish third on the very fast ground and plans to aim her for the Fillies' Mile were shelved. She will be expected to make up for lost time and can start now. Dama'a was beaten by a 50-1 stablemate on her Newbury debut last August, but finished ahead of a couple of highly-rated individuals, so should be watched this term, while Chasing A Dream is probably better than she showed at Wolverhampton. Fluorescent was touched off in heavy ground last October but has some experience, and Aitch, Boreana and Consuelita all come from top yards. The pin comes down on Heaven Sent.
