      Verdict

The vote here goes to Pinpoint, with his biggest dangers reckoned to be Halliard, Ballet Ballon and Nuwara Uliya. Just beaten by a Sir Michael Stoute runner last time, Pinpoint showed plenty of promise on his racecourse debut on the all-weather, and is entitled to plenty of respect tonight. Halliard, a half-sister to Lateen Sails, is of obvious interest, while Ballet Ballon's Haydock reappearance was pleasing enough (the second from that race will by now have run yesterday), and Sasso and Untimely have shown enough to suggest there is better to come, while Scottish Play is among those that have likeable breeding, but the stable's first string would appear to be Nuwara Uliya, who showed promise after a tardy start on his Newmarket debut, with Cross My Mind just behind him. From the Godolphin stable. Dahman showed promise on his debut but disappointed last time so is probably best watched today but, for the winner, we return to Pinpoint.
