In depth

Verdict

The Cumani stable has yet to hit form and so Jazrawy, who has a great chance on form, is passed over in favour of Heathwood, Khe Sanh can also be given a chance in a wide open affair. The selection is trained by John Gosden who has his string well forward. This son of Green Desert landed a modest maiden at Lingfield earlier this month beating Abientot a shade comfortably. He gets in he on a fair mark and with improvement expected looks the one to beat. Jazrawy chased home Kandidate last time out, and the winner ran a blinder in the Craven this week. If the Cumani horse were in form this would be the pick, but on this occasion he has to be just watched. Khe Sanh on the other hand is from a yard on fire and this recent Lingfield winner has plenty of scope for improvement. Of the others Miss Patricia is in good form at present and should be involved in the finish, but on this occasion we will side with Heathwood.
