Capote's Dream went close in the consolation race for the Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood recently but Aphelios never threatened in the Stewards’ Cup itself. Conquistador returned a beaten favourite back down in class at Newmarket while Expert Agent landed a hat-trick on the all-weather early in the year but ANTIPHON goes well here. The latter won at the track in May and having placed in a tougher sprint over track and trip last time, he gets the vote. Magical Merlin and Treacherous have both got something to find with the selection.
