Richard Hughes has ridden the winner of this in three of the last six years, but all of those victories have come on board Richard Hannon-trained juveniles. He partners US dirt-bred Westbourne Grove for Bob Cowell in this as Frankie rides Hannon's ALKHOR for his retainer. The latter was slowly away on debut at Goodwood and had to be switched around horses in the closing stages but kept on well and will know more today.
