A minefield to sort through, especially with much depending on the weather. If it remains dry it would be an advantage to be drawn high, but if the rains came, they could well race on the far side. Of the high numbers Halcyon Magic, who won on consecutive days at Yarmouth last month, would have a chance as he appears to handle most types of ground, while Barrantes, who has been in good form throughout the summer, goes well for his young apprentice and will be difficult to keep out of the frame. Handicap debutante Volcanic doesn't look harshly treated and is one to keep an eye on, while amongst those drawn low with chances include Heather Dalton's bay filly Magic Music, Mick Channon's Summerson and Peter Harris's Zilzal filly Zilmaid Dancer, who is a half-sister to three winners including juvenile winner Reflex Blue.
