Verdict

With Jambo Bibi becoming disappointing a chance is taken on one of her stable companions CHEERS; Grandmas Dream and Darwin Star both have ability and should get involved while Regal Rocket completes the Hannon attack. Our pick caught the eye at Salisbury when making strong late headway in a race that favoured those racing prominently. She wasn't given a hard time having had too much to do and can only have improved for the run, although it has to be said the drop in trip rates a concern so confidence cannot be high. Jambo Bibi looks the stable first-string on jockey bookings but she's been a beaten favourite on all four starts and may struggle to get to the front from this draw. Richard Hannon's third-string on what we've seen so far is Regal Rocket but she can't be totally ruled out from stall one as there's speed in her pedigree and surely more to come. Grandmas Dream takes a sharp drop in class having contested the Group Three Albany Stakes last time and this sprint-bred type should improve for dropping to the minimum although her ability is hard to gauge, while Darwin Star is becoming exposed but she seems to enjoy setting the tempo and can do that from her pitch; this race isn't strong either. Pineapple Pete needs a market check as a half-brother to a multiple juvenile sprint winner but we'll chance Cheers in this.
