In depth

Verdict

Hermann only went up 2lb for scoring over 1m4f at Newmarket but couldn't quite produce a repeat performance at Doncaster. He could find this on the short side while Craftsmanship still looks a couple of pounds high and doesn't win very often. HOLLYWOOD ROAD has been doing very well over hurdles and completed a double over this trip in August. He still looks on a fair mark and can take this though last year's winner Oasis Spear is 1lb lower and has to be respected.
