Verdict

OCEAN TEMPEST has returned from Dubai in superb form having followed his victory in the Lincoln with a success at this level at Ascot. He has a 4lb penalty to carry and needs a bit of cut in the ground but is taken to continue his progress. Baltic Knight was a long way behind at Ascot and it's difficult to see him reverse the form but Fencing wasn't beaten far into fourth and on the revised terms and with slightly quicker ground should get closer. Fire Ship just avoids a penalty for last year's Group 3 victory at Deauville and he's taking a drop from Group 2 company while Out Of Bounds has arguably the best form of all though punters would need to forgive a poor run on his last start at York in October. The Rectifier generally runs well here and has a victory at the same level to his credit on the track.
