    Verdict

Burning Thread is looking increasingly like a light of former days and was well behind NOCTURN here last month. Ron Harris' six-year-old goes particularly well here - he's been beaten just once in five previous visits - and can go in again as he hasn't been disgraced off his new mark. Improving three-year-olds Absolute Champion and Kassbaan could provide the biggest threat having more scope than the top weight, though Bashiba ran well over 6f at York after winning at Doncaster. Sandfrankskipsgo is preferred to Bouclier of the others.
