Verdict

PERMIAN made a winning debut at Kempton but could only manage second under a penalty in a novices race at Ayr last time. However, Mark Johnston’s colt should make a bold bid in this ahead of Challow. The latter was beaten less than a length in a nursery at Ascot last time with Nibras Bounty well beaten and is preferred to Kempton runner-up Golden Guest. Showdance Kid makes his handicap debut having won a novice event at Carlisle and could be thereabouts with Moneyoryourlife likely to struggle.
