Verdict

A big field for this valuable series final, despite underfoot conditions. Treacherous has not won here in seven previous attempts but the nine-year-old has been staging something of a revival lately. Count Otto arrives on a hat-trick, as does Knebworth, while course specialist Lequinto beat Antiphon and Magical Merlin in a qualifier in June, though was beaten by Sterling Knight in a similar race over track and trip the time before. INDIAN CREAK will probably handle the forecast heavy going better than most. A winner here in May, he was successful again at Epsom a month ago and Rose Dawes’ claim takes care of a further 4lb rise in the weights. Crazy Luck isn’t getting much help from the handicapper but Haymaker has decent claims but the ground may not suit Lethal Nymph
