Verdict

This looks a competitive sprint for the prize money with a couple arriving on hat-tricks. Mountain Peak is still improving so makes more appeal than Waseem Faris, who looks fully exposed. Bungee Jump is running well and is the likely pace angle. Rio Ronaldo needs to be produced late but has a course an victory to his name and can’t be ignored. Daschas bids for a fourth win in seven starts and Blackheath has won two of his four runs this year. Buridan bounces off this fast ground and was successful at Newmarket and Haydock before his latest fourth at HQ in a better race than this but a case can also be made for SHAHEEN, who also runs in the colours of Al Shaqab Racing. A winner at Pontefract and Doncaster this season, he’s been creeping up the handicap but continues to run well and has the advantage of a starting berth next to the rail. Dark Power seems best on ground with some give.
